Opposing to the attempt to revise the act to build an administration-oriented complex city (Sejong) in Chungnam, Mr. Lee announced he would leave the office on December 3, 2009. At the press conference, he said, “I have many times promised to leave the office if the Sejong City Act is not passed as it was first intended. Today the act revision is in controversy, and I think somebody should take the responsibility for the government, which suspended the execution of the act, and the promise that has been broken.”
