At CES 2026 (Consumer Electronics Show 2026), the world's largest consumer electronics and tech expo, Chungcheongnam-do showcased the technological capabilities and innovation of its promising small, medium, and venture companies, laying the groundwork for their expansion into the global market.
The provincial government announced on the 12th that it participated in CES 2026, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center and surrounding venues in the U.S. from the 6th to the 9th (local time), where it hosted the Chungnam Pavilion.
Set up as an independent exhibition space within the KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) integrated Korea Pavilion on the second floor of the Venetian Expo, the Chungnam Pavilion focused on actively supporting local businesses' entry into overseas markets. The initiative centered on emerging future industries, including artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, digital health, and eco-friendly energy.
Specifically, the Chungnam Pavilion demonstrated the technological competitiveness of 10 local companies* offering products that merge cutting-edge technology with practical, everyday applications, including △robotic vertical farms △healthcare hygiene appliances △AI-based environmental and platform technologies △autonomous robots △new-concept wind turbines △vehicle fleet management services, and △functional products.

During the exhibition, the participating companies engaged in active business consultations, conducting product demonstrations and technical briefings for buyers and investors from around the world. As a result, they successfully facilitated 210 export consultations valued at approximately $49.05 million.
In particular, follow-up discussions with numerous overseas buyers are currently ongoing—especially in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and eco-friendly energy—highlighting the strong potential for future export growth and the forging of international partnerships.
CES is a strategic exhibition that directly connects global technologies with markets, a provincial official stated. "Operating the Chungnam Pavilion has once again reaffirmed the global potential of our local businesses, and we will continue to provide follow-up support to ensure these efforts lead to tangible export contracts in the future."
Meanwhile, under the 8th popularly elected local government, the province has consistently championed local companies in breaking into the global market by sponsoring their participation in international exhibitions and hosting targeted export events. Even prior to this expo, these ongoing initiatives had already generated $1.5 billion in export consultations and secured $700 million in finalized export agreements.
