Chungcheongnam-do Province has officially initiated its full-scale effort to support the global market entry and digital trade transition of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the province.

On the 2nd, the Province held the opening ceremony for 'Chungnam deXter' in collaboration with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) at the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency.

The event, attended by about 60 people including Vice Governor for Political Affairs Jeon Hyung-sik, KOTRA Vice President Lee Jeong-hoon, the Yesan County Mayor, Provincial Assembly members, provincial and municipal officials, and representatives from export-related institutions and companies, proceeded with a promotional video screening, ribbon-cutting ceremony, and facility tour.

deXter is the brand for the digital trade support centers being established by KOTRA, currently operating in 18 locations nationwide.

Chungnam deXter, which has just opened, is expected to serve as a catalyst for pioneering overseas markets for export beginner companies in the province through digital means.

Its main roles include full-cycle export support, such as △digital content creation for export products, △online marketing like product registration on buyKOREA, and △assistance in discovering promising overseas buyers.

Through this, local SMEs can now experience and execute all export processes—from product photography and content creation to entry onto global platforms and buyer linkage—all in one location.

Furthermore, Chungnam deXter plans to nurture practical young digital trade professionals by cooperating with local universities through the ‘deXters’ youth education program.

The Province plans to actively utilize Chungnam deXter to accelerate the establishment of a Chungnam-type global trade ecosystem, focusing on △the digital export transition of SMEs, △creation of youth jobs, and △response to export market diversification.

On this day, Vice Governor Jeon stated, "We will closely link Chungnam deXter with our province's seven overseas offices and other export support bases to strengthen the international competitiveness of local SMEs." He added, "The Province will continue to be a reliable partner so that our companies can reach out further and stronger toward the world."

Meanwhile, the Province recorded the nation's second-highest export value last year at $92.61 billion, and the nation's highest trade surplus at $51.461 billion.
