On the 13th, Chungcheongnam-do Province successfully hosted the 'Multicultural Family Festival' at the Yesan-gun Arts and Culture Center, where multicultural and foreign families residing in the province came together.

The event, hosted by the Province and organized by the Chungcheongnam-do Multicultural Family Support Hub Center, was established as a venue for harmony where multicultural families could showcase the skills they honed through club activities and enjoy cultural performances together.

With around 500 attendees, including multicultural and foreign families residing in the province, the event proceeded with an awards ceremony for the competition and performances.

The event featured the awards ceremony for the six outstanding teams selected from the online multicultural club competition (including choir, traditional dance, modern dance, and instrument performance) held last month for 15 cities and counties across the province.

Asan City Family Center's 'Dasom Choir,' which won the Grand Prize, and Geumsan-gun Family Center's 'Beautiful Life,' which took the Excellence Prize, performed congratulatory pieces on stage, showcasing choir and traditional folk dances, receiving great cheers from the audience.

In addition, participants enjoyed a performance by the 'Croquiky Brothers,' a drawing circus team whose fast drawing techniques, fun facial expressions, and exciting dancing blended together, allowing everyone to enjoy the show without language barriers, providing a time for families of various nationalities to communicate and connect.

A provincial official said, "This festival was designed as a time for multicultural families to be the main actors, showcasing their talent and skills, and confirming their status as valuable members of the local community." He added, "We will actively create various opportunities for exchange and cultural enjoyment so that multicultural families can continue to live happily in the province."
