Chungcheongnam-do Province and the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation announced the launch of the "Bay Valley Tour Pass Landmark Package," available for sale starting May 29. This new initiative aims to boost longer-stay tourism for the '2025-2026 Chungnam Visit Year.'
The Bay Valley Tour Pass is part of the Chungnam-Gyeonggi Bay Valley mutual cooperation project. It combines the northern Chungnam area (Cheonan, Asan, Seosan, Dangjin, Yesan) and the southern Gyeonggi area (Pyeongtaek, Anseong, Hwaseong, Ansan, Siheung) into a single tourism zone called "Bay Valley." The goal is to revitalize inter-regional tourism.
The Bay Valley Tour Pass Landmark Package comes in two options: Big 2 (15,900 KRW) and Big 4 (29,900 KRW). Customers who purchase the pass will receive discounts and free admissions at participating landmark attractions in both Chungnam and Gyeonggi for 30 days. The Big 2 pass allows access to one attraction in each province, while the Big 4 pass provides access to two attractions in each province.
You can purchase the Bay Valley Tour Pass Landmark Package online through platforms like Naver and 11th Street.
To celebrate the launch, the province and the foundation are offering a special promotional event until the end of June, where the passes can be bought at a discounted price of 9,900 KRW (Big 2) and 15,900 KRW (Big 4) via Naver Smartstore.
A provincial official stated, "We plan to release an integrated Bay Valley Tour Pass in June. We expect this initiative to significantly help attract tourists from the Seoul Metropolitan Area and boost tourism in Chungnam."
