Chungcheongnam-do announced on the 18th that it is openly recruiting 100 '2026 Chungnam Foreigner-Friendly Restaurants' to increase the travel satisfaction of foreign tourists and elevate the service quality of restaurants in the province to global standards.

This project is being promoted in step with the 'Visit Chungnam Year' and the government's 'K-Tourism Grand Transformation' policy, aiming to strengthen the infrastructure for accommodating foreign tourists ahead of large-scale international events such as the 2027 Chungcheong Summer World University Games and the Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo.

In particular, the focus is on alleviating the language barriers and menu selection difficulties experienced by foreign tourists at local restaurants, thereby creating a more convenient and highly satisfying tourism environment.

Eligible applicants include general restaurants and rest area restaurants (including cafes and dessert shops) within the province, and applications will be accepted from the 18th until 6:00 PM on the 3rd of next month.

Selected establishments will receive various promotional and marketing support, such as: △Provision of official certification plaques for Chungnam Foreigner-Friendly Restaurants △Support for the production of multilingual menus in 5 languages (English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean) △Provision of detailed menu information and on-site expert training △Inclusion in the Chungnam Tourism website and tourism guidebooks.

The province plans to select the final establishments by comprehensively evaluating foreign user convenience, service levels, and tourist accommodation capacity through document screening and expert reviews.
