The Chungnam Safety Experience Center announced on the 22nd that it has introduced and officially launched an AI-based multilingual voice service, allowing foreign visitors to participate in safety experiences without language barriers.

The number of foreign visitors to the Chungnam Safety Experience Center surged by 34% in just one year, rising from 4,119 in 2024 to 5,532 last year.

In response, the center introduced this service due to concerns that foreign participants might experience lower comprehension and satisfaction levels without an interpreter, as the existing programs were primarily conducted in Korean.

Through this service, visitors can scan a QR code within an experience zone using their smartphones to instantly hear the safety instructions for that area via an AI-generated voice in their native language.

Since it requires no separate app installation or device rental, even one-time visitors can access the service easily.

The services are provided in a total of four languages—English, Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese—and have been implemented across nine experience zones, including those for natural disasters, man-made disasters, and emergency descent devices.

Kim Jong-wook, Director of the Chungnam Safety Experience Center, stated, "In step with the surging number of foreign visitors, we have established a system that accurately conveys the core contents of our safety experiences without language barriers." He added, "We will continue to expand a foreigner-friendly experience environment to broaden the reach of Chungnam's safety culture."

Meanwhile, the Chungnam Safety Experience Center is expanding its safety experience programs beyond provincial residents to include foreign nationals. For further details regarding the use of the center, visitors can contact the main line (☎041-590-6300).
