\r\n\r\nintroduction
\r\nCCN Residency will hold individual exhibitions of the second residency artists in a relay format. This exhibition will be a place to reflect on the meaning of creative activities here and gauge the direction of creation that will take place during the remaining residency by exhibiting the past representative works and new works which has been produced since they moved into this studios in April this year.\r\n Kim Ga Eul, the sixth artist of the Solo Exhibitions by the Second Artists in CCN Residency, has captured the concept of \"water\" in oriental landscape paintings with modern techniques and images. Under the theme of \"Water Wave,\" the exhibition will showcase more than 10 artworks revolutionizing the senses of the invisible world. The artist creates artworks based on the marbling technique, in which water and oil interact to create unexpected shapes. This production method depicts water waves as materials, human bodies, and emotions meet in an instant. Through the artworks created by inevitability and chance, it is hoped that visitors will share the whole inside of the invisible world sensibly.
\r\n\r\nArtist’s Note
\r\nWe believe that we see the world with our eyes, but we actually live by feeling the world with our whole body.
\r\n\"Invisible Wave-Drawing traces of the abyss\" is a work that records the movement of senses and the depth of existence that are not captured by the eye through painting. Through the fluid medium of water and marbling, the artist accepts the moment when chance and inevitability intersect, and captures the flow of form and color that repeats creation and extinction in it. This is not a painting that reproduces nature, but rather an act of drawing traces of senses that occur at the point where nature, body, and emotions meet.
\r\nThe 'abyss' is not a space of fear, but a place where the deepest senses awaken. The artist follows the traces that emerge from this deep layer and quietly shakes the boundary between nature and humans, between the visible and the invisible. The audience is not the being seen in front of the work, but becomes a being who entrusts the body to the wave and resonates together.
\r\nWhat are we seeing and what are we feeling.
