\r\nLocated in Taean Enterprise City, Royal Links C.C. has been on the west coast for 10 years, has long been loved as a representative golf course. Links refers to a golf course, especially a magnificent golf course in Scotland that stretches out in the form of waves along the coast. To match its name, located on a large-scale reclaimed land by filling up the sea, the Royal Links C.C., where golfers have become one with beautiful nature such as the coast, wind, and reeds of Taean, are enjoying a healing time.
One day, a strange building appeared near the Royal Links C.C., which was a paradise for golfers. These are small buildings huddled in the middle of the land surrounded by beautiful golf courses. It is said that promising domestic and international artists are engaged in creative activities here. While playing a round, golfers have been looking at the unfamiliar place called CCN Residency from a distance, amplifying their curiosity.
CCN Residency was opened in April 2024 as a residence space for artists created by Chungcheongnam-do and Hyundai Urban Development Co., Ltd. through a business agreement and has being been managed by the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation. With nine studios which are artists' studios, a community hall, and an exhibition hall, it operates a creative support program for visual artists and a convergence program that connects local environments and art. One of the biggest advantages of CCN Residency is that it provides the best space for artists to immerse themselves in creative activities. Above all, the panoramic view of the wide golf course, which can be seen far beyond the studio window, is a resting place for artists to look at during their creative activities, and the people and nature that harmonize within it have been a source of abundant inspiration.
Golfers and artists who have been in a common space but have only looked at each other from a distance because they have no physical contact point. Eventually they will meet in September 2025 as a special exhibition. The special exhibition will be attended by six artists who ahs been reside in CCN Residency since April of this year and will be engaged in creative activities until March of next year. Now they come out of their closed space, the studios and send greetings by presenting various contemporary art works.
Hello, nice to meet you, my neighbor!
