\r\nCCN Residency will hold individual exhibitions of the second residency artists in a relay format. This exhibition will be a place to reflect on the meaning of creative activities here and gauge the direction of creation that will take place during the re\r\nmaining residency by exhibiting the past representative works and new works which \r\nhas been produced since they moved into this studios in April this year.\r\nLee Jiyeon, the second artist of the Solo Exhibitions by the Second Artists in CCN Residency, has been working on painting and tape installation based on the linear element. She begins to draw lines in an empty canvas and space that opens an infinite path of imagination because there are no specific plans or designs, no regulations, and no rules. Her lines, which slowly follow the path of time and memory as if playing a mind-gazing game, make planes and spaces, and the images of the doors in them make us look forward to a new path beyond the current space. In this exhibition, the artist installs new works from the \"Beyond Space\" series while presenting the past artwork in the form of archiving. The artist, who has created a path of lines according to the inspiration she has received from the specific place and space she encountered, creates her own time of imagination and play here in the CCN Exhibition Hall and shares it with the audience.
\r\n\r\nLine((線) and Choice(選) _ the space where the line passes
The straight lines created by the tape go to space and space and become work like a play that moves to place and place. Talking about the moment of imagination and play through the image of space, I look back on the time passed through the lines. Although it may seem like it was drawn behind the planned design, in fact, with drawings that are improvised and momentarily selected, the place of the tape becomes a 'path' that you have to keep going (at the same time, curious about wanting to go). In the meantime, it is necessary to select what has been passed along the next path in the picture of the process of floating around, floating in memory, imagination, and play, and escaping and returning.
How can I meet the diagonal wall of the triangular roof exhibition hall again? Facing the square wall with inclined sides, I couldn't overlook the doors that had already been folded in front of me. I hope you experience the curiosity of experiencing imagination and play into other time and space along the line that divides the space while wondering about the 'path' to the 'next' space that the overlapping doors contain.
