The 61st Baekje Cultural Festival ? Baekje is born again! will be held in Gongju and Buyeo from September 26 to October 4. The festival will be a unique merrymaking event focusing on history, culture, and education.

A special performance will be held under the theme "New Jump Torward New 60 years" at the opening ceremony in Geumgang Singwan Park, Gongju on September 26. The performance will be a significant event of looking back on the past 60 years and opening a new page.

The festival will include a special program shedding new light on the history and culture of the great kingdom of Baekje, which exchanged briskly with neighboring countries, through international seminars on the occasion of the registration of the Baekje Historic Areas with UNESCO as World Heritage sites.

The basic concept of the festival will focus on history, culture, education, variety, and fun under the themes of Contest?Harmony?Consonance. The programs will be held under the slogan "Stories of Baekje Told Together".

The highlights of the event will include "Parade, Exchange Kingdom, Great Baekje (held in both Gongju and Buyeo)", "The Procession of Baekje History and Culture (in Buyeo)", and "Woonjinseong Parade (in Gongju)". The event features exhibitions, hands-on experience programs, and performances.

You will find taking part in the festival to be a nice experience while revisiting the history and culture of the Baekje Dynasty (18 BC - 660 AD), which existed in the region a thousand years ago, amid the crisp fall weather.
